Zong has shown interest to perform preliminary tests of the 5G technology to Pakistan during a high level meeting in Islamabad, according to a statement Wednesday.
Dr Shah Ismail Chairman of PTA (Pakistan Telecommunication Authority) and “Houlin Zhao” Secretary General of the ITU (International Telecommunication Union) visited the headquarters of Zong with and other officials.
The delegation was informed about the various initiatives taken by Zong to boost the telecommunications sector in Pakistan. Delegates assessed the principal measures initiated by Zong 4G network to become more efficient and innovative in the country.
Liu Dianfeng (CEO and Chairman Zong) said: “Our teams work very hard not only to bring new technology to the Pakistani people, but also applications and solutions from end to end to improve the quality of life for local people”.
“Zong has also shown a keen interest to conduct preliminary tests of 5G technologies during the session, showing its willingness to adopt the latest technologies and be an industry leader”.
