Dell launches XPS 13 Ultrabook Developer Edition

Dell recently launched the XPS 13 Ultrabook Developer Edition version of the new generation to replace the old model launched last year.
dell xps laptops Nicknamed ‘Sputnik 3′, this device uses Intel Core i5 or i7 aswell, 128GB or 256GB SSD, 8GB RAM, 802.11ac Wifi and Bluetooth 4.0. Equipped with 13.3″ Full HD resolution with the ability to touch 10 fingers.Similar to its predecessor Sputnik 3 preinstalled Ubuntu 12.04 LTS operating system for target audience programmers, plus they still have to install Windows if you want.

Dell has been actively working with Canonical Ubuntu manufacturers place as well as the other equipment manufacturers to ensure a good driver and full support for hardware features of the XPS 13 Developer Edition. Project Sputnik Group also incorporates two open source tools into devices, such as Cloud Profile Tool and Launcher. The first application is to simplify the task of installing the dedicated tool for developers by different profile.

Meanwhile Cloud Launcher is designed to help the implementation of their projects to a supplier that cloud. It will be used to establish an environment Developer Edition on a laptop, and with just one button press, all will be synchronized to the server such as Amazon EC2.

The machine has started selling in the U.S. for $ 1,249 for the Core i5 + SSD 128GB and $ 1,549 for the Core i7 + 256GB SSD. In the coming months, Sputnik 3 will eventually be distributed in Canada and Europe region.
