Overwatch Tier List 2 January, 2020 Updated – Season 20

Overwatch Tier List Hero Image

This page will show 2 January, 2020 (season 20) updated Overwatch Tier List. Our main list of Overwatch hero levels for the 20th season (2 January, 2020) breaks the entire list of characters into the most competitive categories, as well as massive guides for each of them!

We tried our best to present the meta, but we do not accept our list of levels as final. Even if some heroes do not top our list, they can still be extremely powerful in the right situation.

Our tier list ranks heroes in terms of their current balance, and how they fit into the current meta. Also find current Overwatch meta on this page. The tier list can also be used in the team picker.

Note that even though a hero might be in tiers 4 or 5, if used correctly that hero can perform well comparing to the heroes in a tier 1-2. So, even if some heroes aren’t topping our list, they’re still capable of being extremely strong in the right situation.

Overwatch Tier List Overview

S-Tier: These heroes have a very high win rate on the professional level and the best choices on different maps and multiple game types.

A-Tier: These heroes have a high pick rate and are good alternatives to Tier 1 heroes.

B-Tier: These heroes are often considered less strong and are situational picks based on different game types.

C-Tier: These heroes have a less win rate but can be good if used correctly.

D-Tier: These heroes have low pick rate at professional level or have a low success rate and are often considered weak in terms of balance.

However, it is fair to say that some heroes turn out to be more consistently useful than others when it comes to promoting a wide range of commanding personnel. As a result, we would like to provide a regularly updated list of how the characters play against each other and do so in the form of the list that you are currently reading.

How Exactly Do We Make A List?

To begin with, we take our own experience, taking into account the current meta, before taking into account the generally accepted wisdom of the crowd with the help of alternative ratings of heroes.

We also improve our ranking a bit to play with other random players, rather than with teams that prefer tightly coordinated competitive teams.
